Did you find a tick you want tested?
If you find a tick on your person or an animal and want to know more about what diseases the tick may have, the UNH CoCo Lab offers tick analysis testing. Our testing can detect the presence of the pathogens listed below. This testing will not inform you if you or an animal has been infected by a tick that was attached, it will only inform you if any of the pathogens were present in the tick itself. To test a tick, place it in a Ziplock bag, then inside of an envelope. Mail the envelope and confirmation number to the address listed below. Testing starts at $75 and will take 3-5 business days for results. For an additional $25 turnaround times for results can be expedited to 1-3 business days. The UNH CoCo Lab DOES NOT provide any medical diagnoses. Test results from this analysis do not inform you about your risk of infection. For any medical concerns, you should reach out to your healthcare provider.

Instructions:
After completing your order and payment, please place your tick in a Ziplock bag and clearly label the bag with your order number. Your order number will be available on your email confirmation. *If you are not sending in your tick right away, please place in freezer until you are able to mail in. If you are experiencing any medical issues, consult a medical professional.
Place the labeled Ziplock bag in an envelope, seal it, and mail to:

Tests will have a 3-5 day turn around. Rush orders will have a 1-3 day turn around will incur an additional charge of $25 dollars.
